Alberta Gold
Alberta Gold Chorus had a busy fall starting with a small group that sang at Field of Crosses leading up to Remembrance Day, which we feel so honoured to be part of every year. We sang at a European Village Craft Fair at Bearspaw – (with a visit from Santa), sang at a Seniors’ home where one of our members now resides, had our Christmas show which was very well attended and we loved the standing ovation! (Alberta Gold is known to love our celebrations so we did have our Halloween Party in October and then our Christmas party which was our last chorus night of the year).
Now we are into 2024 and starting to plan for competition in Edmonton. We have just finished our weekend retreat at Entheos this past weekend and we so enjoyed singing our two competition songs and had the lovely, talented, knowledgeable and oh so kind, Sheryl Brook as our visiting coach. We still have a few months till competition but we are pretty excited as we’re feeling ready with so much more practice time left!
Oh, it has to be mentioned that we have 5 new members since last summer and all five of them learned the Christmas repertoire and were out on that stage with their beautiful faces on and having so much fun!
