Become an Educator in the Region
To become a member of the Regional Education Faculty (REF), a member of Region 26 must submit an application form, which outlines her background, expertise and willingness to teach and/or coach. Each applicant may apply to become an Approved member of the Regional Education Faculty or an Associate member, based on her previous coaching/teaching experience. If a member has at least two years of coaching or teaching experience, she may choose to apply for Approved REF member status. All applicants applying may choose to be designated as a coaching specialist, a teaching specialist, or both. A coaching specialist focuses on coaching quartets and choruses to improve their vocal skills and performance level overall. A teaching specialist may also focus on vocal skills, but focuses more intently on strategic planning, mediation/dispute resolution, or other administrative related matters.
