Lions Gate Chorus

It’s been a busy Summer and Fall for the Membership team at Lions Gate Chorus.  In the Spring, long-time Membership Coordinator Glenda Bisig passed the baton to myself (Lori Holtorf) and Julia O’Dwyer.  We thank Glenda for her many years of service, and her superior organizational skills.  She left us with a wealth of resources, which we’ve relied on extensively to keep this ball rolling.

This Summer and Fall we’ve had about 20 guests visit the chorus, and 8 people have joined the chorus.  While we haven’t had any special membership recruitment events or programs yet, we have been busy with other tasks.  We’ve refreshed our riser buddy system for prospective members - we now call it the Riser Host program, and we’ve separated it from our Mentorship program which is now specifically for new members once they join.  Our Marketing Coordinator, Stacey Rose, has been working behind the scenes, and one of her tools is SEO (Search Engine Optimization) to increase the chances that our website comes up when people are searching for choirs in our area.  Using the word “choir” on our website has definitely brought more people through the door.
