With heavy hearts, Alberta Gold Chorus announces that we lost one of our lovely members to a massive heart attack on May 1st, 2022. Orysia Blahut had been an Alberta Gold member for nearly four years – she visited us in the fall of 2018 and was hooked instantly! She was such a kind, friendly, and very hard-working member. She jumped in with both feet, offering to help wherever needed and when a spot came up on the Board of Directors, she said she would do it. She was on her second term on the Board when she passed. Orysia was also on several other committees – the kind of person who would see where she was needed and would sign up! We so miss this lovely lady! On June 21, we honoured Orysia at our June party/Board installation during the evening with a toast to her lovely spirit “ON BUTTERFLY WINGS”. Rest In Peace, Orysia!
