Alberta Gold Chorus - the Next Season

Join us on November 30, 2019 for The Next Season. The show features the Rag Tag Theatrical Society, trials and tribulations, vintage Broadway, Disney tunes and contemporary favourites.

We invite you to bring family and friends to enjoy the music and fun of this Barbershop romp. In the spring edition of MLX our newest members shared some reactions to the script. Now they report on the progress we’ve made. Lori credits Nancy Kanuka’s vivid vision in devising an intriguing show and despite all the work, she is seeing “how well the group is coming together as a team.” Mariana is looking forward to the show but, “is nervous at the same time,” while she appreciates, “practices and extra practices” the best.

Orysia is enthused too by Nancy’s dream for creating “a wonderful experience” for the chorus and audiences “to share and enjoy.” She celebrates a tremendous amount of teamwork and is excited for the performance, hoping family and friends will be “proud of our group” and chorus talents. Mary marvels that the chorus has “spent a full year writing, preparing and practicing to stage” a full production. She admires “the imagination, talent and hard work, that’s been put into the show.” Mary even has a friend coming from New Brunswick to catch Alberta Gold in action.

Jamie and Kerrie love the dancing and singing appearing in the show and relish the fun and excitement of performing for an audience. Kerrie may be Broadway bound, but is destined  to surprise her friends and our audience in general, while Jamie wants everyone to see “The Next Season” and is bringing, “my whole family…. aunts, uncles, grandparents, and in-laws included!”
