ALBERTA GOLD – SUMMER OF 2023
After going to our first competition in 5 years, we came back ready to get started on our upcoming Stampede performances. Our new Director, Krista had us working hard but with so much fun. We learned two new songs and refreshed our old Western rep before we sang at Stampede. Our hard work paid off, because the audience gave us a lot of positive feedback!
Our Summer Party/Board Installation was held in June and this year’s theme was Birds of a Feather. As usual, the party was a blast with food, visiting and singing. Once again, we have a wonderful new Board of Directors who work so hard to keep our little chorus going strong!
We took 3 weeks off after Stampede then came back getting ready for our annual Open House. We had 6 prospectives show up and think we may have 4 very interested ladies on their way to becoming Alberta Gold Girls.
We are having a big celebration sendoff for Holly-Jean Kadonaga who stepped in to be our Director and stayed for 14 years! She is coming back to the risers in the Bass/Baritone sections and we are so happy to have that beautiful voice back singing with us! Thank you to Holly-Jean for all her love and hard work guiding us and now onto our new Director, Krista Willott who brings lots of musical experience with her and so much fun to go with it! We know she has big plans for Christmas, competition, an upcoming show and who knows what else! Welcome and thank you, Krista!
