Alberta Heartland Chorus Updates
Alberta Heartland Chorus has enjoyed a fun filled couple of months. Some of the highlights include:
Our annual Kooky Kwartet Nite was a blast! The judges had difficulty choosing this year’s winner of the ROOSTER (Royal Order Of Singing To Enhance Razzamatazz) from all the wonderfully entertaining performances.

Alberta Heartland Chorus was asked to do several performances over the Christmas season including:
- a fundraiser to raise money for Amy’s House, a house available for patients and their family members to stay while having cancer treatments;
- carolling floor to floor at the Allen Grey Senior complex;
- singing for the residents of Tegler Terrace seniors apartments;
- performance at the Bountiful Farmer’s Market; and,
- our annual performance at the Alberta Legislature Building in Edmonton
Four of our quartets (Leap of Faith, Chance!, Good Vibes, and Mosaic Blend) took part in the University of Alberta Devonian Botanical Gardens’ Luminaria event, singing both as individual quartets and together as a group of 16 voices as guests strolled around the botanical gardens lit only by candlelight.
Some of the members of Alberta Heartland Chorus have joined forces with an Edmonton based mixed chorus, singing 8 part harmony. This new mixed chorus will be performing as part of the upcoming Grove City Men’s Chorus show in April 2020.
We were very excited to sing in three new members (Laurie Young, Cindy Jahner, Collette Staples) all within a week of each other, our new member “hat trick”. We look forward to sharing our love of singing with them.
