Peace Arch Chorus Winter 2019
Peace Arch Chorus 2019 Christmas Season
“making a list, checking it twice”
Peace Arch Chorus (PAC) was checking the list thirteen times – for meeting places, costumes changes and more – beginning November 30 as guests of Soundscape Chorus and ending December 21 at Westminster Quay.
Christmas Memories was the theme of the PAC Christmas in a truly magical twinkling winter setting. Chorus members froze in position as individual memories were recited. Not a Trill – a Peace Arch quartet of mother-daughter Terri and Evie McLean and cousins Jude Goodwin and Laurie Prak – gave their debut performance during the concert. PAC’s special guests included the Angeli Children’s choir from White Rock and the Harbour Friday Four, a mixed quartet of Emma Honrud (PAC Director), Joshua Honrud (our MC), Leila Msadek Huston, and Sean Huston. For the second year, the PAC participated in the Christmas hamper program at St John’s Presbyterian - our venue for the concert.
The following weekend, the PAC scurried for four sing outs Saturday, spreading the joy of the season to three seniors’ groups in Surrey and performing in the evening as guests of First Capital Chorus on their annual Langley Christmas Bureau show. Sunday, we sang in BC’s first capital, Fort Langley in front of the Christmas tree outside the iconic yellow Community Hall - shown as City Hall in many movies. Other singouts included a carolling walk-about in a neighbourhood, serenading the lighting of a massive Christmas Tree in the center of a Langley plaza, and two performances (including Not A Trill) at the New Westminster Quay. While there we received a special request from Mrs Claus to have our picture with her & Santa.
Peace Arch Chorus is truly grateful to be singing our Joy of Christmas while bringing the Joy of the Season to our listeners.
