Southern Accord Chorus

Fun- filled Christmas season!

Southern Accord was immersed in our community this past Christmas. November 6th we launched our second annual Sing for the Season program. The invitation for women across our area to learn some Christmas harmonies brought in some excellent singers. Building on last years program, the group learned 3 songs, were invited to perform in some of our Christmas performances and join us for a Friends and Family Show to cap off the program. Feedback was very positive and we may gain some new members although that wasn’t the main goal of the program. At the core of the session, more women experienced and appreciated our barbershop harmonies. It was wonderful to have new voices on the risers brought in by the draw of singing Christmas tunes with a twist.

The chorus enthusiastically supported our new friends while working on repertoire for performances in town and on the road. We were at Christmas markets, the Christmas Tree lighting downtown, a light festival and seniors residence sharing our joy of music. What a busy, fun season!
